2012 Spring Flower Sale!

Shaughnessy 2012 Spring Flower Sale


It's that time of the year again! Support your neighbourhood Shaughnessy School by purchasing our incredible bedding plants. The Shaughnessy Parent Advisory Council has been holding plant sales for many years, and every year people remark about how large and healthy the plants are.  Don’t miss out!

Look in your child(ren)'s shuttle this week for the order form (or to print out your own order form and information sheet please click here).

Orders are due on May 4, 2012 and your flower orders are available for pick-up on Thursday, May 17, 2012 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

Parents Reaching Out Grants

Hi folks,

The Ministry’s “Parents Reaching Out” (PRO) grants are being offered again this year, with the specific mandate to, “reach parents who face barriers to becoming involved in their children’s education.”

So, my question to the community is this:

What are these barriers as you understand them in the Shaughnessy community?

Yard Sale Volunteer meeting

The first Yard Sale volunteer subcommittee meeting will be this Monday, April 16, at 6:30pm in the staff room at Shaughnessy PS. 


 Any parent, guardian, student or teacher who would like to help before, during or immediately after this year's yard sale is warmly welcomed at this meeting.  If you would like to help but can not attend the meeting, please send an email to Warren Jones at sps.chair@parentcouncil.info.

Could you volunteer for an hour this month?

Dear Parents,

Your parent council is looking for volunteers for the Popcorn Wednesdays and Friday Pizza lunches in April. For each date volunteers will be present who have previously done the event, but we are in need of additional helpers. Thank you for any time you are able to offer. Below is a sign up form for each of the fundraisers and a description of what is required.
