Message from Principle Turner re: staff updates

Most of you know that Mrs. Gorman, a veteran and much-loved Shaughnessy teacher, is retiring this year. More to come on that.

 

The following staff members will be moving on to new schools next year. We wish them all the best in their new adventures!

Remember to pick up your Spring Flower Sale plants from the Shaughnessy Public School Gymnasium between 2pm and 6pm today!

We would like to thank all the parents and students who baked for our bake sale last week! Thanks to you, we made over $500 to enhance our students' education. Please pick up your plates from the bake sale by tomorrow (or let us know when you will be picking it up and we will hold it for you). We do not want to have to give your beautiful/useful plates and storage containers to charity!

Spring Flower Sale orders due this Friday!

Dear Parents and Neighbours,

The Shaughnessy Public School Spring Flower Sale is back and orders are due this Friday, May 10, 2013!

Please support your neighbourhood school by purchasing our incredible bedding plants and “Amaizeingly Green” Weed & Feed and organic fertilizers.  The Shaughnessy Parent Advisory Council has been holding plant sales for many years and every year people remark about how large and healthy the plants are.  Don’t miss out!  Orders are due this Friday, May 10, and orders are ready for pick up on Thursday, May 16th.  For more information and/or to order plants, please click on this order form link.

Hello Bakers and Lovers of Yummy Things!

 

Just a reminder that the Bake Sale is this Friday May 10, 2013, at the end of the school day.

Please drop off your yummy donations in the staff room Friday morning.

 

Please do not bring any food that contains peanuts, tree nuts or seafood.

If possible, include a list of ingredients (for those with allergies to peruse).

Please mark the bottom of the

containers, plates, dishes, etc. that you

want returned with your child's name and class

room number. A piece of masking tape works

well.

Volunteers needed this Wednesday, May 8.

Dear Parents and Caregivers:

Can you help us out for 1 hour on Wednesday, May 8th?

Your parent council is in need of volunteers for pizza lunch. There will be volunteers who will coordinate the lunch, but we are in need of a few additional helpers. Please fill in the form and return to the Kindergarten lock box in front of the school office or hit reply and then insert your name, phone or email.

Both the Parent Council and Shaughnessy PS thank you very much for any and all time you are able to volunteer.
