Good morning Parents,

I hope everyone had a great week! Shaughnessy's first Pizza Lunch will be on Monday October 31. The cost is $2 a slice and please remind your children that there will be no juice box or snack with it. Thank you!

On Tuesday November 1 we have the Internet Safety course at Shaughnessy PS in the gym at 6:30pm. Try to be on time. Parking will be at a premium as Henry Farms will have a general meeting and guest speaker on November 1 as well. Thank you!

Shaughnessy School Council and Pizza Lunch

Good morning Parents,

We hope you all had a great weekend! We have our second School Parent Council meeting on Tuesday October 25, 2011 at Shaughnessy PS in the Staff Room at 6:30pm. We will be choosing a new Executive for the School Parent Council. We hope to see you there.

Also a reminder that our first Pizza Lunch will be Monday October 31, 2011. $2.00 per slice. Remember it does not include a drink or snack.

Shaughnessy School Council: Milk Bags for Haiti

Want to keep plastic out of our landfills? Want to help people in need?

Well now there is a way you can.  Shaughnessy is taking part in the “Milk Bags for Haiti”   initiative.  Instead of throwing out the milk bags (the colourful outer bag that holds the three smaller bags) in the garbage, bring them to school.  These bags will be collected and given to volunteers who will make sleeping mats for children and adults in Haiti.  Drop off all cleaned milk bags in the box by the front office.  Let’s do our part in helping out the environment and people in need.  Go Shaughnessy!

Shaughnessy PS Pizza Lunch

Good evening parents,

The first pizza lunch is on Monday October 31st. We are doing it Monday to coincide with the Halloween festivites that will take place on that day. Also this is just an initial trial with Pizza Nova and any feedback is appreciated.

Due to the Healthy School Policy for food we will not be doing a drink and snack. Pizza Nova meets the criteria of the Healthy School Policy.

$2 per slice

The pizza lunch program is usually one of the most successful fundraising initiatives at Shaughnessy PS with the proceeds reinvested in the school. The kids love it and, the best part is, you don’t have to make lunch that day!
