We hope everyone had a great Victoria Day long weekend! Here are some things happening at Shaughnessy over the next week and a half. We are in need of volunteers for the Yard Sale. Also freezies will be available by the Grade 7's and 8's in June at the afternoon recess. (will send a seperate e-mail in June)
May 25 Wed
Cookie Day is replaced with Ice Cream (not sure of price)
May 26 Thurs
This will be the last Milk Day for this school year. Milk and Chocolate milk $1.
May 27 Fri
Last Pizza Lunch for this school year. Cheese or Pepperoni slice with snack and drink $5 and $1 per extra slice.
May 28 Sat
Yard Sale (volunteers needed)
June 1 Wed
Ice Cream Day
June 2 Thurs
Shaughnessy Concert Grade 4 - 8, 6:30pm (time might change will confirm). We need one or two volunteers to serve coffee and cookies. Thank you!

Shaughnessy Parent Council Meeting. Shaughnessy Staff room 6:30pm.
Wednesday May 18
Volunteer Recognition Event. 8:00 to 8:30 am. A letter was sent out to all volunteers to R.S.V.P.
No Cookie Day.
Flower orders come in.
Thursday May 19
Milk Day. Milk and Chocolate milk $1 each just before lunch
Friday May 20
PA Day. No school.
Monday May 23.

Shaughnessy Annual Yard Sale
Call for Donations and Volunteers
Hello everyone,
It’s that time again! Time to pull out your gently used or new items that are just taking up space in your house and donate them to a great cause: Supporting your School!
As we did last year, we are accepting donations of your items the night before (between 6 and ) on Friday, May 27 or the early morning of the sale (before ). Please bring your items to the school at either of these times and volunteers will be on hand to help you place it in the school gym or out for sale on our tables.
Just as or more importantly, we need able volunteers to help us coordinate activities leading up to the sale and on the day of the sale, help facilitate what is a very busy, and very fun, event!
If you are interested in donating or volunteering or hopefully, both, please contact Gerri Mirkin at 416-461-9864 or email (preferred) to gerrimirkin@avedon.org. With your help, we can make this another successful fund raiser for Shaughnessy PS as well as a great, fun time with your neighbours supporting your community.

Cookie Day $1 per Cookie Wednesday May 4 afternoon recess and Milk Day $1 per milk or chocolate milk Thursday May 5 before Lunch.
Reminder of Shaughnessy Flower Sale forms to be sent to family and friends. Forms will be sent in the Shuttle this week. I will send the Flower forms in a seperate e-mail just in case the Shuttle does not get home.
Music Monday May 2, 35th Annual Folk Dance Jamboree at Albert Campbell Square (Scarborough Civic Centre by Scarborough Town Centre) Tuesday May 3 at 5:45 your kids know about this and Jump Rope for Heart Fri, May 6.
