Schools are OPEN today and all students are welcome but like a severe weather day, transportation will NOT be running. Staff is expected to report to work. Visit the TDSB Labour Relations page for more information.

Please come to Trustee Manougian talk at our school TONIGHT

Our school trustee, Harout Manougian, has accepted the The Henry Farm Community Interest Association's (HFCIA) invitation to speak at their meeting tonight.

The meeting will take place as follows:

Date: Tonight, January 8, 2013

Time: 7:00 – 7:30 pm

Place: Shaughnessy Public School Gym

HFCIA invites the parent council, all parents, and community members to come to the meeting and join the discussion. Trustee Manougian will give a talk for 10 – 15 minutes followed by a Q & A period.

At 7:30, the executive of HFCIA will leave to have their regular meeting, however the parent council and guests are welcome to stay longer for further discussions, questions, etc.

2012 Toy Draw Winning Numbers!

If you have a winning ticket, but are unable to claim your prize this week, please send me an email with your winning number so that we can arrange an alternate pick-up time.

Last chance to buy Toy Draw Tickets on Monday!

The last day to buy tickets for this year’s Toy Draw fundraiser will be this Monday (before and after school).

100% of the proceeds will pay for the Storyteller Program with Cheryl Thornton (starting in the new year). Please help support this important campaign to enrich our children’s academic year.

Dec 21, Pizza lunch - request for volunteers

Dear Parents and Caregivers:

Can you help us out for 1 hour on Friday, December 21st?
Your parent council is in need of volunteers for pizza lunch. There will be volunteers who will coordinate the lunch, but we are in need of a few additional helpers. Please fill in the form and return to the Kindergarten lock box in front of the school office or hit reply and then insert your name, phone or email.

Both the Parent Council and Shaughnessy PS thank you very much for any and all time you are able to volunteer.

Shaughnessy Children's Centre Food Drive

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Your school council endorses and encourages your donations to The Shaughnessy Children's Centre (at Shaughnessy Public School) Grace Community Food Share (GCFS) Drive. 

You can help to support friends and families in need in our own community by donating breakfast cereals, oil, canned fruits and vegetables, halal food and any other non-perishable food items between now and Wednesday, December 19, 2012.
